Day 1 - Sept 4th, Arrival from Zanzibar to Tarangire

Arrival: Arusha Airport.
Drive time: 3 hours
Meal plan: Full Board Breakfast, lunch and dinner, no drinks

Day 2 – Sept 5th, Tarangire National Park to Marera Valley Karatu

Drive time: 12 hours
Meal plan: Full board
After breakfast we will travel to Tarangire National Park for a game drive. Tarangire national park is known for its Baobab trees and big herds of elephants. We will have a game drive along Tarangire river which is known as a "lifeline river" where animals come to drink during the late morning and afternoon hours.

We will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park and go for another afternoon game drive as we exit the gate. Late afternoon drive to Karatu and arrive early evening. We will have dinner and overnight at Marera Valley Lodge.

Day 3 – Sept 6th, Ngorongoro Crater and Central Serengeti

Drive time: 12 hours
Meal plan: Full board
We will depart our Lodge for a half day game drive inside the Ngorongoro crater.

The Ngorongoro is the largest unbroken caldera in the world. More than 30,000 wild animals live there.

It is a sanctuary for Black and White Rhino who are endangered species due to heavy poaching.

After lunch we will drive out of the crater and do a game drive through central Serengeti arriving at our tented camp early evening around 6pm.

We will have dinner and overnight at Heritage Luxury Tented Lodge.

Day 4 – Sept 7th, Central Serengeti

Drive time: 7 hours
Meal plan: Full board
After breakfast we will leave for a full day game drive inside the Central Serengeti area.

The Central Serengeti has a large number of resident animals and migratory herds passing through going to the north.

Picnic lunch inside the park. Late afternoon drive back to the camp for dinner and overnight at Heritage Luxury Tented Lodge- Central Serengeti.

Day 5 – Sept 8th, Serengeti Central and Northern Serengeti- Kogatende Area

Drive time: 10 hours
Meal plan: Full board
We will do a game drive to Northern Serengeti. The Northern Serengeti is where the famous crossing happens during August and into early September.

Large herds of Wildebeest and Zebras cross the Mara River to go to the Maasai Mara in search of fresh grazing and water. We will do a game drive looking for herds crossing the river. This is the most famous crossing in the world.

Day 6 – Sept 9th, Northern Serengeti and Optional Balloon Safari

Meal Plan: Full Board
Thos going on balloon safari will leave around 5am and transfer to the launching site. The ride takes about one hour and will be followed by a buffet breakfast after landing.

Those opting out of the balloon safari will leave for a morning game drive after breakfast.

We will all join together later that morning for a game drive for the rest of the day. We will be looking for the migration, depending on the animals and their movements.

We will also drive through other areas known for their predators including the lion prides, leopards and cheetahs and many other herds of herbivores.

Day 7 – Sept 10th, Serengeti North- Arusha- Kilimanjaro Airport

We fly from Kogatende, North Serengeti to Arusha where we will picked up and driven to Kilimanjaro airport for our international flights home.

Book departures from Kilimanjaro 5 PM or later.

Our epic adventure ends and now becomes one of our most treasured memories.
